Our “MICRONTURN” Series of machines have been specifically designed for “Precision Hard Turning” to Replace Grinding process of Hardened Components
These machines have some special features which include :
» German Linear measurement system on both axis for very high repeatability (± 0.7 microns)
» Extra Rigid P Class Roller LM guideways with Medium preload on both axis for higher machine rigidity & vibration damping.
» Spindle with higher bearing preload with P4 Class Super Precision bearings with P2 RUNNING ACCURACY.
» ”Passive Damping” System in base consisting of compartments filled with”Harcrete mixture” to absorb vibration thereby improving surface finish & tool life
We use Heidenhain or Schneeberger make Linear Measurement system
NOTE : One very important advantage of SCHNEEBERGER AMS system is that it relies on linear scales mounted on their patented LM guides with reading head mounted on a block moving on the rail. This ensures that positioning errors on conventional CNC lathes caused by ball Screw pitch error, backlash & thermal expansion of machine parts during normal working of machine (and change in ambient temperature throughout the day ) are eliminated thereby giving very close tolerance throughout the working period of the machine and resulting in very high Cpk values.
